Menteng’s close proximity to Jakarta’s core CBD area, offices, embassies, and government offices, have also given rise to its vibrant restaurant of entertainment scene.

Taman Menteng stands on an area 30 hectare with over 30 different species of plants and flowers; Taman Suropati, on the other hand, is Taman Menteng’s slightly quieter little sister. With its lush surroundings and romantic fountains, it is the perfect place for an afternoon walk or cycle!

But if you are not really into nature but still want to enjoy the outdoors, then do check out Jakarta Car Free day on Sunday morning! Walk through Jakarta’s main CBD areas, visit iconic Jakarta destinations such as Monas, Masjid Istiqlal, and Jakarta Cathedral, and take the bus to Jakarta Old Town.
